I?m guessing English isn?t your first language? It is a common English idiom to say that one thing is specified distance better than another. Feel free to type ?miles better than? into Google for 100?s of examples. Since light years are vastly larger than miles, using light years makes the comparison more powerful. I?m not sure why you think it would make more sense if ?light years? was a measure of time. The only instance I can think of using time as comparison is in technologies. Ie. Computer A is years ahead of Computer B. |
